Two Athletes Collect Player of the Week Honors

MADISON, N.J. - With winter weather causing havoc with schedules throughout the region, enough competition was completed for two student-athletes to be chosen as Players of the Week. The Landmark Player of the Week selections are made by the Landmark Conference office.
Men's Basketball:
Marcus Burke produced two strong games to help keep Susquehanna in
postseason position with a split of Landmark contests. He reached
double figures in each game, scoring 19 points in a win over Drew
and adding 12 points in a loss to USMMA. He shot 70-percent from
the field over the two contests, missing just six shots from the
floor over the two games. He added eight rebounds, two steals a
block and an assist for the week, while averaging 15.5 points.
Women's Basketball:
Jessica Ziagarelli helped Susquehanna extend its winning streak to
six games with a pair of Landmark victories. The sophomore averaged
10 points and 6.5 rebounds per game as the Crusaders swept USMMA
and Drew. She scored 11 points with seven rebounds in the win over
Drew, and was a perfect 4-for-4 from the floor to score nine points
with six rebounds in just 16 minutes in a win over USMMA. She shot
64-percent from the field over the two games, while also
contributing five assists.
