Landmark Honors Two Players of the Week

MADISON, N.J. - Two Landmark athletes have been selected as
Landmark Players of the Week following after competition resumed
following the holiday break. The Landmark Players of the Week
selections are made by the conference office.
Men's Basketball:
Moravian senior forward Mark Franzyshen helped the Greyhounds
earn three wins this past week as the team extended its winning
streak to nine games. He reached double figures in points in all
three games, including posting a pair of 19-point efforts as
Moravian won the Greyhound Starters Classic. He had 19 points and
eight rebounds in the opening game of the tourney and then shot
67-percent from the field to score 19 points and grab six
rebounds in the championship game. For the week he averaged
16.3 points and 5.3 rebounds per game, while shooting 55-percent
from the field and 88 percent from the foul line. He also had four
assists and three blocks over the three games.
Women's Basketball:
Senior Shadae Swan was named to the All-Tournament Team
at the Whittier Purple & Gold Classic as she helped Goucher
advance to the tournament championship game. She scored 19 points
and pulled in six rebounds as Goucher defeated host Whittier
in the opening game. She then scored a game-high 26 points in the
championship game whole also passing out three assists and grabbing
three rebounds. Swan shot 50-percent from the field and 45-percent
from three-point range over the two games. She averaged 22.5
points per game over the course of the tournament.
