Athlete of the Week Tommy Trotter, Scranton (Fr., OF, Cranford, N.J.) Trotter hit .667 as the Royals swept Drew to claim the top seed in the Landmark Conference playoffs and extend their conference winning streak to 11. In the opener, a 7-5 win, he went 3-for-3 with a double and three runs scored, and he followed that with a 2-for-3 performance with an RBI and a stolen base in Saturday's second game. On Sunday, Trotter led off the game with a double and scored, giving him six hits in his first seven at bats of the series. He also made three stellar defensive plays on the weekend, running down balls at the fence in right-center field...
Pitcher of the Week Kevin Elwell, Elizabethtown (So., RHP, Clarks Summit, Pa.) Elwell turned in his second complete game, two-hit, shutout of the season as Elizabethtown beat Susquehanna 1-0 in game two Saturday to lock up a Landmark Championship berth. Elwell was also on the bump March 22 when the Blue Jays defeated Catholic, 1-0, despite getting one hit. Elwell was on point against the Crusaders, walking none and striking out four in one of the biggest games of the year. He has delivered four quality starts in 2015. This is the second time this spring that Elwell has received AOTW recognition.
