MADISON, N.J. - Six student-athletes from Landmark field hockey
teams were selected to the 2009 Longstreth/National Field Hockey
Coaches Association All-Region Teams. It marks the third
consecutive season the Landmark has placed at least five
representatives on the All-Region squad.
All six Landmark honorees were part of the 32-player South
Atlantic Region Team, with the conference earning two first-team
selections and four second-team honorees. Juniata's Meghan McGlone
and Paula Price were both selected to the the first team, while
their teammate Kim Amrod was joined by Susquehanna's Ally Bradley,
Drew's Nicole DiBattista and Catholic's Liz Grumbein on the second
team. The only senior in the group, DiBattista was also chosen to
play in the 2009 NFHCA Division III Senior All-Star Game which will

scoring a team high 18 goals and nine assists for 45 points. This
was her first season being named to an All-Conference team, let

all-Landmark first-teamer, garnered second-team all-region honors
after tallying seven goals and a team-high seven assists this year
for 21 points. Three of her goals were game-winners, including two
in overtime, one of which ended a 2-1 win at Moravian College that
clinched SU a spot in the Landmark championships.
DiBattista was a second-team All-Region selection in 2007 and
earns the honor again in 2009. She earned her second First Team
All-Landmark selection as she was the Landmark’s top scoring
midfielder and fifth overall with 30 points (1.67 per game). She
was tied for sixth in goals with 11 and third in assists with
eight. A true full-field player, DiBattista also ranked fifth in
defensive saves with four.
Grumbein started all 19 games and was central to the Cardinals
leading the league in defensive categories. The Cards were #1 in
goals against average (1.19), total goals allowed (24) and goals
allowed per game (1.24). The defense also posted five shutouts. She
