Men's Athlete of the Week - Ryan Fitzsimmons, Drew
Men's Athlete of the Week Ryan Fitzsimmons Drew (So., North Haledon, N.J.) Drew sophomore Ryan Fitzsimmons set or tied a pair of records in his first match of the season at the Middlebury College Duke Nelson Invitational. He broke his own school record for a 36-hole match with a 149 (74-75), tying for 20th among 111 competitors. His 74 in the opening round also tied his own school record for 18 holes. Fitzsimmons helped the Rangers tie for 13th out of 22 schools while breaking the school record for 36 holes (616) and 18 holes (306).
Women's Athlete of the Week - Christina Pevey, Goucher
Women's Athlete of the Week Christina Pevey Goucher (So., Post, Texas) Goucher sophomore Christina Pevey picked up where she left off a season ago, taking the top spot on the Gettysburg Tri-Match with Catholic and the host Bullets on Friday. She won the individual medalist honors at the event firing an 84, which was four shots better than the second place competitor, and her 84 was the lowest round of Pevey's career by nine shots.
