Landmark Issues Correction To Men's Basketball All-Conference Team

MADISON, N.J. - The Landmark Conference is re-releasing the 2007-08 Landmark Conference Men's Basketball All-Conference following a clerical error by the conference office. The change, which comes after a miscalculation of a ballot, moves Juniata College senior forward Brian Cannon to the first-team after he was originally named to the second-team. Due to the error the first-team will include seven student-athletes for 2007-08. The traditional All-Conference team will consists of a first and second team, with six players on each team, and the selections made by position with the selections being made by the eight conference head coaches.
Moravian College and The University of Scranton each placed three players on the All-Landmark Team, while Susquehanna University and Juniata each had two representatives. Those four teams are the four squads that have qualified for the Landmark postseason. In addition to his first-team All-Conference selection Susquehanna senior Josh Robinson was named the Landmark Player of the Year. Moravian added two individual awards to go along with its three All-Conference choices as senior forward Chris Earley was named the Landmark Defensive Player of the Year while Head Coach Jim Walker and his staff were picked as the Coaching Staff of the Year. The Catholic University of America freshman Jason Banzhaf was tabbed as the Landmark Rookie of the Year to go along with his second-team All-Landmark recognition.
Seniors dominated the voting for the All-Landmark Team as 10 of the 12 spots on the team were earned by senior student-athletes, including all seven first team selections. The only two non-seniors to make the 12-player squad were freshmen. The revised All-Conference Team is listed below.
