Crusaders Keep Finding Ways To Win In Conference
TOWSON, Md. - The Susquehanna University men's basketball team was a target for Goucher College, fresh off a win over Juniata College on Saturday. An 11-0 run that tied the game at 18-all midway through Sunday's first half had the Gophers thinking upset for a second straight day.
But Landmark-leading scorer Josh Robinson (Mahwah, N.J./River Dell) quickly quelled the momentum shift, hitting a three-pointer to give Susquehanna (10-7, 7-0 Landmark Conference) the lead again and for good en route to a 79-62 win. Goucher fell to 5-12, 3-4 in Landmark play while Susquehanna won its sixth straight and seventh conference game.
Robinson led the Crusaders with 25 points and added nine rebounds -- seven defensive -- and three assists. Joel Patch (Conklin, N.Y./Susquehanna Valley) was the everywhere man for Susquehanna with a double-double of 18 points and a team-leading 10 rebounds, along with four assists, a block and three steals. Brad Okonak (Lebanon, Pa./Lebanon) contributed 13 points off the bench.
Gopher freshman Marcus Cotton had his own double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds, the first of his career.
