TOWSON, Md. - At the conclusion of the regular season, the seeding for the men's basketball tournament has been determined. The 2013 Landmark Men's Basketball Tournament consists of the top four teams. Semifinals will take place Wednesday, Feb. 20 and the winners advance to the championship Saturday, Feb. 23.
The Catholic University of America clinched the No. 1 seed in the tournament on Wednesday and finished with a 12-2 record in the Landmark. The No. 13 Cardinals led the league this season after missing the tournament last season.
The University of Scranton is No. 2 finishing 10-4 in conference play. The Royals have won four of the five Landmark titles including the last two. Last year's runner-up Juniata College, secured the third seed with a 9-5 Landmark record. The U.S. Merchant Marine Academy earned the No. 4 seed with a 7-7 record.
The tournament begins on Wednesday with two semifinal games. The winners of the two semifinal matches will face off in the Landmark Championship Saturday, Feb. 23 at the highest remaining seed.
