Men's Athlete of the Week - Riley Collins, Drew
Men's Athlete of the Week Riley Collins Drew (Jr, G - Lacey, N.J.) Drew junior Riley Collins averaged 23.0 points and 7.5 assists per game, leading the Rangers to a pair of milestone victories. He opened the week with 12 points and seven assists as the Rangers clinched the No. 1 seed in the Landmark Conference for the first time in team history with a 64-52 win over Scranton. Then in a 92-90 victory over Catholic, he nailed a pair of go-ahead free throws with three seconds left to cap off a 34-point game as Drew broke the school record for most wins (20) in a season. With the Rangers trailing by 12 at the half, Collins put the team on his back, scoring 23 points and dishing out all eight of his assists. He played all 20 minutes of the second period, when he shot 7-for-10 from the field, including 3-for-3 from beyond the arc, and 6-for-7 at the free-throw line.For the week, he shot 44.1 percent from the floor, including 50.0 percent (4-8) from 3-point range, and 92.3 percent (12-13) at the foul line.
