Drew Men's Lacrosse Coach Guides South All-Stars To Victory

BOSTON, Mass. - Drew Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach Tom Leanos
led the South to a 17-13 victory at the USILA North/South Senior
All-Star game. Assisted by Dave Zazzaro C’91 on the sidelines
and aided by Mike DeGiovanni C’09 in defense, Leanos’
squad was loaded with All-American talent as they scored a slight
upset over the North team. DeGiovanni collected a few groundballs
and took a shot on goal in around 30 minutes of play in the
win.
This season was the second time that Leanos has coached in the
prestigious game. In 1991, he and three players, Matt Cooper, Max
Rockwell and Zazzaro, all debuted for the Rangers. Three other
Rangers prior to DeGiovanni have been named Senior All-Stars: Alex
Previdi (C’94), Mark Grillo (C’99) and Nate Matsui
(C’02).
