Drew's Bonder Claims All-America Honors

MADISON, N.J. - Drew's Dan Bonder was named an National Soccer
Coaches Association of America All-American. The senior defender
was selected to the third team following his outstanding final
campaign with the Rangers.
Prior to his selection an All-American, Bonder earned his second
All-Regional selection of his career by being named as one of the
top three defenders in the Mid-Atlantic. For the second straight
season, the Whippany Park, N.J. native was a first team
All-Landmark Conference selection.
Bonder started every game and rarely came off the field. He chipped
in a goal and two assists this season while serving as a key member
of Drew’s dominant defense. The Rangers rank 57th in NCAA in
Team Goals Against Average (0.87) and first in the Landmark.
This is the third year that Bonder has earned All-Conference honors
after being picked for the second team and as the Rookie of the
Year in the MAC in 2005. He was honored with a pair of All-Regional
nods last year with both the NSCAA and D3Soccer.com recognizing
him.
Also, a very strong student, Bonder was selected to the CoSIDA/ESPN
The Magazine Academic All-District II first team. The neuroscience
major was also tabbed for the Landmark Conference All-Academic team
for the second time in his career.
The All-America selections are invited to be recognized at the
annual All-America Luncheon, to be held in St. Louis, Mo., on
Saturday, Jan. 17, as part of the 2009 NSCAA Convention.
