Scranton's Run Ends In NCAA Opening Round
For 33 minutes The University of Scranton stood toe-to-toe with #12-ranked Gettysburg College in an NCAA first-round game at Shirk Field at Musselman Stadium. Then the Bullets shot down the Royals’ dream of pulling off the upset, holding Scranton scoreless over the final 27 minutes of play to pull away for an 8-3 victory.

Landmark Announces Fall Senior Scholar Athletes
The Landmark Conference has selected six athletes as Landmark Senior Scholar Athletes for their respective fall sports. A committee of Landmark Conference officers, athletics directors and sports information directors selected the recipients, choosing one senior from each of the fall sports sponsored by the conference.

USMMA Men's Soccer Continues Tournament Run
On Saturday, the United States Merchant Marine Academy men’s soccer team defeated Muhlenberg College in the Sweet 16 round of the NCAA Division III Tournament by a final score of 1-0 at Varsity Field in Allentown, Pa. With the victory, the Mariners improved to 13-2-5 on the season and will face Messiah College tomorrow afternoon in the Elite 8 round.

Overtime Win Sends USMMA To Men's Soccer Sweet 16
With two and a half minutes remaining in the first overtime period, sophomore defender Kurt Olsen of the United States Merchant Marine Academy men’s soccer team headed a corner kick assist into the back of the net to notch a second-round NCAA Division III Tournament victory for the Mariners against SUNY Brockport and send them to the Sweet 16 for the first time since 2002.

Drew Erupts For Six Goals In ECAC Victory
The Rangers men's soccer team never trailed in 90 minutes of action today thanks to three first half goals in a 6-0 rout of St. Joseph's (11-8-2) this afternoon . The Rangers, the top seed in the ECAC Metro/Upstate Championships, will advance to the semifinals on Saturday afternoon.

Five Landmark Teams Going To NCAA Tournaments
Five Landmark Conference fall sport teams will represent the conference in 2010 NCAA Division III Tournament play beginning Wednesday Nov. 10. With Landmark Champions earning automatic bids the champions in field hockey, men’s soccer, women’s soccer and volleyball all earned bids, while one other Landmark team was selected to the field as an at-large participant.

The Landmark Conference has honored twenty-four student-athletes with selections to the to the 2010 All-Landmark Conference Men’s Soccer team as voted by the conference’s eight head coaches. The All-Landmark Team includes a first and second team with 12 honorees on each team, with the selections being made by position.

Catholic Men's Soccer Claims Title On Penalty Kicks
The CUA men's soccer team captured its second straight Landmark Conference championship with a shootout victory over Merchant Marine Academy on Saturday afternoon. After the teams tied 1-1 in regulation the Cardinals defeated the Mariners 3-0 in the shootout to win the title.

The CUA men’s soccer team is going back to the postseason after the Cardinals ran their unbeaten streak to nine matches with a 1-0 victory at Moravian on Saturday. Freshman Ian Smith scored the goal for CUA in the 60th minute as the Cardinals run their record to 10-5-3.

The Catholic University men’s soccer team ran its unbeaten streak to four games on Wednesday as the Cardinals downed McDaniel 2-1 on the road. Kevin Duffy scored the game-winner for CUA in the 49th minute as the Cardinals improve to 6-5-2.

Drew Pulls Out Tight Win Over Scranton
This afternoon, Drew's men's soccer team played in a game that could not have been more even, both teams ended with 14 total shots, three corner kicks and both goalies had six saves. The differentiating factor was the sole goal the Rangers were able to tack on to bring the win back to New Jersey.

With the win, the Mariners improved to 5-0-1 overall and 1-0 in league play. Following the loss, the Eagles dropped to 5-2-0 on the year and 0-1 in the Landmark Conference.
