Landmark Announces Players of the Week

TOWSON, Md. – The Landmark Conference has released the Players of the Week. The conference will recognize a student-athlete for each sport based on their contributions to their team throughout the season.

Offensive Player of the Week
Dan Weldon
Merchant Marine (So., F, Holland Township, N.J.)

Weldon tallied Merchant Marine's game-winning goal in overtime against Susquehanna to open the conference schedule with a victory and three points. He also recorded the game-tying goal as USMMA came from behind to defeat St. Joseph's (L.I.), 2-1 earlier in the week.

Defensive Player of the Week
Stephen Kilty
Scranton (Sr., D, Downingtown, Pa.)

Kilty helped Scranton post two shutouts during the week with strong play along the backline. He helped neutralize the Misericordia attack in Scranton's 1-0 victory on the road on Tuesday. His play was a big reason why the Cougars had just two shots on goal in their 12 shots total. On Saturday, he had a solid game in a 0-0 draw at Albright that was played in heavy rain. Kilty and the Royals held the Lions to just six shots while posting their third shutout in the last four matches.
