Drew Captures FIfth Landmark Men's Tennis Title

MADISON, N.J. – The Drew men's tennis team continued their remarkable run in the Landmark Conference by capturing their 5th straight title with a 5-0 victory over the University of Scranton this afternoon. The Rangers have won 12-straight conference championships dating back to their years in the Middle Atlantic Conference.

The Rangers won all three doubles matches to take a commanding 3-0 lead going into singles play. Senior Matt Brisotti (Mattituck, N.Y./Mattituck) and junior Matt Imbo (Islip, N.Y./Islip) prevailed 9-3 at number two singles.

Brisotti carried the momentum into single splay, recording a straight-set victory over Joe Morra at number two singles. Junior Adam Gerber (Montclair, N.J./Seton Hall Prep) registered the other singles victory to clinch the match with a 6-3, 6-4 win at number three single over Mike Pannone.

The Rangers will automatically qualify for the NCAA Division III Tournament.
