Landmark Honors Second Semester Senior Scholar Athletes
The Landmark Conference has chosen fourteen student-athletes as Landmark Senior Scholar Athletes for their respective winter and spring sports. A committee of Landmark Conference officers, athletics directors and sports information directors selected the recipients, choosing one senior from each of the sports sponsored by the conference. The honorees must have a cumulative GPA of 3.2 and are selected based on their accomplishments in all areas of college life including athletics, academics and other extracurricular activities. It is the most exclusive award given out by the conference with just 20 honorees for each academic year.

Landmark Releases Spring All-Academic Team
The Landmark Conference has announced that 32 student-athletes have been honored with selection to the 2009 Spring Landmark All-Academic Team. Two male and two female athletes from each of the eight Landmark institutions were selected for the team which honors athletes who have excelled athletically and academically.

Five Landmark Conference softball players have been honored with selections to the 2009 Louisville Slugger/National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division III All-Region Teams.

Landmark Baseball And Softball Players Earn Academic Honors
Four members of Landmark baseball and softball programs have been recognized for their successes on the field and in the classroom by earning spots on the 2009 ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District Teams. Three softball players and one baseball performer were honored with the selections.

Moravian Softball Wins First NCAA Contest
The Fourth seeded Moravian College softball team earned a 4-1 victory over fifth seed Eastern Connecticut State University in the opening round of the 2009 NCAA Division III National Championship Tournament in the Mahwah Regional hosted by Ramapo College of New Jersey.

After the conclusion of Landmark Championships in six spring sports a total of 10 student-athletes have been honored as Landmark Players of the Week. The Player of the Week selections are made by the Landmark office.

Landmark Sending Four Teams To NCAA Tournaments
A total of four Landmark Conference teams have earned the right to represent the conference in NCAA Division III Tournament play as announced Monday morning. First-round play in the Division III Mens Lacrosse and Womens Lacrosse Tournaments will begin on Wednesday, with regional action in the NCAA Division III Softball Tournament starting on Thursday. Game times for all the first-round games have not yet been released.

Landmark Announces Softball All-Conference Team
Following the conclusion of another successful season of Landmark Conference softball 25 student-athletes have been selected to the 2009 All-Landmark Conference Softball Team as voted by the conferences seven head coaches. The All-Landmark Team includes a first and second team, with the voting done by position. The voting took place prior to the start of the Landmark softball postseason.

Moravian Goes Extra Innings To Claim Second Landmark Softball Title
Junior pinch runner Katie Flood scampered home with the winning run on an error on a ball hit by senior catcher Deanna Mangieri as top seed and host Moravian won the 2009 Landmark Conference Tournament Championship with a 6-5, nine-inning victory over second seed Susquehanna University at a rainy Blue & Grey Field.

Landmark Spring Sports Championships Kick Off On Tuesday
The Landmark Conference will conclude its second season of competition as conference postseason championships begin with semifinal action starting on Tuesday April 28 and Wednesday April 29. Postseason play will continue May 1 with championships being held on May 2 and May 3.
