Juniata AD & Volleyball Coach Accepts Coaching Position At Naval Academy
Larry Bock, the only head coach in the history of Juniata College women's volleyball and Juniata's athletics director since 1995, has announced he will be leaving Juniata College to become the new head women's volleyball coach at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md., effective immediately.

Landmark Announces Fall Senior Scholar Athletes
The Landmark Conference has selected six athletes as Landmark Senior Scholar Athletes for their respective fall sports. A committee of Landmark Conference officers, athletics directors and sports information directors selected the recipients, choosing one senior from each of the fall sports sponsored by the conference.

Juniata Volleyball Reaches NCAA Semifinals
No. 3 and sixth-seeded Juniata College earned a return trip to the NCAA semifinals with a 3-0 win over no. 12 and third-seeded St. Thomas University on Friday, Nov. 19, in the NCAA Division III Women's Volleyball Championship quarterfinals at the Washington University Field House.

Four members of the Juniata College women's volleyball team were named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Division III All-Mid-Atlantic Region team, which was announced Thursday.

Juniata College Senior setter Steph Strauss (Penn Hills, Pa./Penn Hills) has been named to the ESPN College Division Academic All-District First Team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Volleyball All-Conference Team Announced
A total of 16 student-athletes have been named to the 2010 All-Landmark Conference Volleyball Team as selected by the conference’s seven head coaches. The team consists of a first and second team, with eight players on each team, and the coaches selected the team by position.

Five Landmark Teams Going To NCAA Tournaments
Five Landmark Conference fall sport teams will represent the conference in 2010 NCAA Division III Tournament play beginning Wednesday Nov. 10. With Landmark Champions earning automatic bids the champions in field hockey, men’s soccer, women’s soccer and volleyball all earned bids, while one other Landmark team was selected to the field as an at-large participant.

For the 30th straight year, Juniata College women's volleyball will put a conference championship plaque on the wall of the Kennedy Sports + Recreation, winning the 2010 Landmark Conference championship on Saturday with a 3-0 win over Susquehanna University.

Catholic Battles Past Scranton For Volleyball Semifinal Berth
The CUA volleyball team advanced to the semifinals of the Landmark Conference Tournament with a 3-1 win over sixth-seeded Scranton on Tuesday evening inside DuFour Gymnasium. CUA won the first two games but fell in the third, only to come back and prevail in the fourth game.

Goucher Collects Second Win Over Notre Dame
It wasn't a three-set sweep like it was the first time, but Goucher did pick up its second win of the season over Notre Dame (Md.) tonight. Playing in front of a Decker Sports & Recreation Center crowd of 116 hearty fans, the Gophers dropped only the second set in pinning a 3-1 setback on the Gators.

For the first three year of Landmark Conference volleyball competition Juniata College has been the team to beat having claimed three conference titles and not dropping a match in regular season play. It is a trend that is expected to continue in 2010 as Juniata earned the top spot in the 2010 Landmark Preseason Womens Volleyball Poll.
