Landmark Releases First Sportsmanship Cup Standings
Following the completion of the fall sports season the Juniata College sits atop the standings for the inaugural Landmark Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) Sportsmanship Cup.

Landmark Honors Fall Senior Scholar Athletes
The Landmark Conference has selected six athletes as Landmark Senior Scholar Athletes for their respective fall sports. A committee of Landmark Conference officers, athletics directors and sports information directors selected the recipients, choosing one senior from each of the fall sports sponsored by the conference. The honorees must have a cumulative GPA of 3.2 and are selected based on their accomplishments in all areas of college life including athletics, academics and other extracurricular activities. The award is the most exclusive awarded by the Conference with just 20 honorees for each academic year.

Landmark Announces President's All-Sports Cup Fall Standings
For the second time in as many year Susquehanna University has jumped to the top of the Landmark President’s All Sports Cup standings after the fall sports season. With six of the Landmark’s 20 sports having completed their seasons, Susquehanna leads the standings with a score of 7.33. Juniata College sits in second place with 6.67 points while The Catholic University is a narrow .17 points back in third with a score of 6.5. Rounding out the top half of the standings is The University of Scranton with 5.5 points.

Landmark Releases Fall All-Academic Team
The Landmark Conference has announced the selection of 32 student-athletes to the 2009 Fall Landmark All-Academic Team. Two male and two female athletes from each of the eight Landmark institutions were selected for the team which honors athletes who have excelled athletically and academically. Nominees could compete in any of the Landmark fall sports and must be a sophomore or older with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.

The Landmark Conference has recognized 369 student-athletes by selecting them for the 2009 Fall Landmark Conference Academic Honor Roll. The honorees were selected from all eight Landmark Conference institutions.

Wasnetsky Leads Landmark Runners At NCAA Championships
Four Landmark runners competed at the NCAA Cross Country Championships Saturday morning in Cleveland, Ohio. It marked the first time the Landmark had sent more than three runners to the NCAA meet.

Landmark Sending Four Runners To NCAA Cross Country Championships
A total of four Landmark Conference student athletes have earned the right to participate at the 2009 NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships, held November 21 at Highland Hills Golf Course in Highland Hills, Ohio. The Landmark qualified three runners for the 2008 NCAA meet.

Scranton Women; Susquehanna Men Run Home With Landmark Cross Country Titles
The University of Scranton women’s team became the third different Landmark Women’s Cross Country Champions in as many seasons, while the Susquehanna University men’s cross country squad maintained its grip on the title claiming its third Landmark Men’s Cross Country Championship in as many seasons at the 2009 Landmark Cross Country Championships held Saturday in Washington, D.C. The meet was hosted by The Catholic University of America and took place on the grounds of the United States Soldiers and Airman’s Home.

Cross Country Teams Ready To Kick-Off Championship Season
The 2009 fall Landmark Conference Championship season will get underway Saturday Oct. 31 when Catholic University hosts the 2009 Landmark Cross Country Championships at the United States Soldiers and Airmans Home in Washington, D.C. Women’s and men’s team champions will be crowned at the meet, while competitors will also vie for individual first-place awards. Competition begins at 10 a.m. with the women’s race 6K, with the men’s 8K race following at 11 a.m. There will be an awards ceremony at approximately 12:30 p.m.

Men Shine For Greyhounds At DeSales Invitational
The Moravian College men's cross country team finished fifth of 27 schools at the DeSales University Invitational. The Greyhounds had a team score of 204 points while Dickinson College finished first with 21 points.

Rangers Cross Country Both Third At Osprey Open
Both the men’s and women’s cross country teams placed third in points at the Richard Stockton NJAIAW/Osprey Open. Steven Monteleone led all Rangers by placing sixth overall in the men’s meet while Sarah Morris took 12th for the women. With six teams in each event, Drew finished in the top half for both sides. Nearly every Ranger posted their best 6K time of the season at the meet.
