Landmark Announces Fall Senior Scholar Athletes
The Landmark Conference has selected six athletes as Landmark Senior Scholar Athletes for their respective fall sports. A committee of Landmark Conference officers, athletics directors and sports information directors selected the recipients, choosing one senior from each of the fall sports sponsored by the conference.

Crusaders Look Strong At Flatland Invitational
The Susquehanna cross country teams showed that their preseason number one rankings in the Landmark Conference were not misleading ones. The men’s squad captured first place at the Flatland Invitational on Saturday while the women’s team placed third and saw Alycia Woodruff take home first place.

Steven Monteleone (Berkeley Heights, N.J./Governor Livingston) ran a personal best 27:52, nearly a minute faster than any other runner in the field to win the Maroon & Gold Classic. As a team, the Rangers took second place of Kutztown, Albright and Middlesex.

Juniata College junior Ceth Parker (Sabillasville, Md./Catoctin) ran to an eighth place finish while freshman Katrina Woods (Shirleysburg, Pa./Mount Union) was 17th at the Bucknell Opener cross country meet on Saturday morning.

Crusaders Favored To Reclaim Women's Cross Country Title
In a close vote befitting a sport that has crowned three different champions in the first three seasons of Landmark competition Susquehanna University has been tabbed as the favorite to earn the 2010 crown in the Landmark Preseason Women’s Cross Country Poll. The head women’s cross country coaches and sports information directors at each institution that sponsors the sport were polled for the preseason ballot.

The voters in the Landmark Preseason Men’s Cross Country Poll predict that run of success to continue as the Crusaders earned the top spot in the voting.

Greg Lott Selected To Lead USMMA Cross Country And Track & Field Programs
United States Merchant Marine Academy Athletics Director Susan Petersen Lubow named Gregory Lott the next head coach of the Mariners men’s and women’s cross country and track & field programs. Lott takes over the six squads from Interim Head Coach CDR Don Wilburn, who will stay on as the assistant coach.
