Landmark Student-Athlete Advisory Committee

The Landmark SAAC was created to provide student-athletes the opportunity to take an active role in the governance and legislation of our Conference. The student-athlete group collaborates with the member CEOs, ADs and FARs to establish open communication and a voice in the policy-making process of the Conference. The Landmark SAAC is also involved in the planning and implementation of the Landmark Conference Collaboration/Integration Institutes.

Mission Statement:
To enhance the student-athlete experience academically and athletically by providing an avenue through which the voice of student-athletes may be heard at the conference and national level. The Landmark SAAC representatives will be in charge of enhancing student-athlete welfare, fostering sportsmanship, promoting a positive student-athlete image and developing leadership skills in a culturally diverse environment.

Composition:
The Landmark SAAC shall be composed of 16 student-athletes, two from each institution. Each institution is entitled to have two voting delegates from their institutional SAAC on the Landmark SAAC. Members of the SAAC will preferably be one male and one female who have completed their freshmen year. It is suggested that representatives serve a two-year term.
