  • Landmark Honors Second Semester Senior Scholar Athletes

    The Landmark Conference has chosen fourteen student-athletes as Landmark Senior Scholar Athletes for their respective winter and spring sports. A committee of Landmark Conference officers, athletics directors and sports information directors selected the recipients, choosing one senior from each of the sports sponsored by the conference. The honorees must have a cumulative GPA of 3.2 and are selected based on their accomplishments in all areas of college life including athletics, academics and other extracurricular activities. It is the most exclusive award given out by the conference with just 20 honorees for each academic year.
  • Landmark Releases Spring All-Academic Team

    The Landmark Conference has announced that 32 student-athletes have been honored with selection to the 2009 Spring Landmark All-Academic Team. Two male and two female athletes from each of the eight Landmark institutions were selected for the team which honors athletes who have excelled athletically and academically.
  • Goucher Lacrosse Standout Claims Academic All-District Honors

    Alex Boucher (North Wales, Pa./Germantown Academy), a senior midfielder on Goucher's men's lacrosse team, was named today to the ESPN The Magazine 2009 Academic All-District II College Division Men's At-Large Team which was chosen by members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

    Drew Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach Tom Leanos led the South to a 17-13 victory at the USILA North/South Senior All-Star game.
  • Landmark Announces Men's Lacrosse All-Conference Team

    Following a highly-competitive season in which numerous games were decided by two goals or fewer a total of 26 student-athletes have been selected to the 2009 All-Landmark Conference Men’s Lacrosse Team as voted by the conference’s seven head coaches. The All-Landmark Team includes a first and second team, and the voting was done by position and concluded before the start of the Landmark postseason.
  • Landmark Honors Players of the Week After Conclusion of Championships

    After the conclusion of Landmark Championships in six spring sports a total of 10 student-athletes have been honored as Landmark Players of the Week. The Player of the Week selections are made by the Landmark office.
  • Landmark Sending Four Teams To NCAA Tournaments

    A total of four Landmark Conference teams have earned the right to represent the conference in NCAA Division III Tournament play as announced Monday morning. First-round play in the Division III Men’s Lacrosse and Women’s Lacrosse Tournaments will begin on Wednesday, with regional action in the NCAA Division III Softball Tournament starting on Thursday. Game times for all the first-round games have not yet been released.
  • Late Goals Push USMMA Men's Lacrosse To landmark Crown

    The U.S. Merchant Marine Academy lacrosse team brought home its first Landmark Conference Championship with an 8-6 victory over the University of Scranton. In the processes, Brennan Dougherty became the All-Time Assists Leader in school history with 109. Brian Flannery led the Mariners on the day with two goals and one assists while Keegan Boyle added 10 saves.
  • Royals Pull Out One-Goal Win To Reach Landmark Final

    In three short seasons, University of Scranton head men’s lacrosse coach Kevin Dugan has the Royals within one game of a conference championship. And that’s saying something for a program that went 8-37 in three years prior to his arrival in the summer of 2006. What makes today’s 10-9 semifinal victory over top-seeded Goucher College even more impressive is that Scranton is coming off a 10-0 loss in the regular-season finale against Drew University last Saturday, the first time since 2003 that the Royals failed to score a goal.
  • Stingy Defense Carries USMMA To Men's Lacrosse Championship Match

    The U.S. Merchant Marine Academy lacrosse team defeated Drew University in the Landmark Conference Semifinals, 6-3. The Mariners will now host the Landmark Conference Championship on Saturday. Brian Flannery led the Mariners with two goals and one assist.
  • Landmark Spring Sports Championships Kick Off On Tuesday

    The Landmark Conference will conclude its second season of competition as conference postseason championships begin with semifinal action starting on Tuesday April 28 and Wednesday April 29. Postseason play will continue May 1 with championships being held on May 2 and May 3.

  • Goucher Locks Down Susquehanna To Secure Top Seed

    In the 18-year history of Goucher's men's lacrosse program, the Gophers had never unleashed as many as 70 shots in a game and had never shut out an opponent – until today. The extraordinary combination of a 70-shot attack and a defense that limited Susquehanna to no goals on only five shots produced an 18-0 victory that officially made the Gophers the No. 1 seed in next week's Landmark Conference championship tournament.
  • USMMA Ends Regular Season With OT Win

    Brian Flannery netted eight goals and dished out one assist to lead the Mariners men's lacrosse team in a 15-14 overtime victory over SUNY Maritime. The Mariners scored nine goals in the fourth quarter to send the game into overtime.

  • Men's Lacrosse Championship Rematch Goes To Goucher

    Playing in front of the largest home crowd in the history of Goucher's men's lacrosse program, the Gophers limited Drew to seven shots and, more importantly, only two goals in the first half and went on to defeat the Rangers, 16-6, in a Landmark Conference game played this afternoon.

    Senior attacker Nick Youngstrom (Vestal, N.Y./Vestal) scored four of his game-high five goals in the first period to spark The University of Scranton men's lacrosse team past Moravian College, 11-4, in Landmark Conference action Wednesday evening at Fitzpatrick Field.

    Brennan Dougherty netted four goals to help lead the USMMA men's lacrosse team to an 8-6 victory over Drew University to take over first place in the conference. Sean Zakow helped out the Mariners with two goals and two assists while Keegan Boyle ended the night with 11 saves.

  • Drew Defense Stymies Susquehanna

    The Drew men’s lacrosse team improved to 3-0 in the Landmark Conference with a 6-1 win over Susquehanna at Ranger Stadium on Friday. Jon Bucknam scored a hat-trick and the Ranger defense allowed just the one goal. Mike Sayers had three assists while Mike Celentano and Brad Mendelson combined for 11 saves in net for Drew.

Mepham) scored a goal as the final buzzer sounded in double overtime to lift The University of Scranton men's lacrosse team to a dramatic 10-9 victory over Goucher College in Landmark Conference action Saturday afternoon at Fitzpatrick Field.

    The Catholic University men's lacrosse team showed off their offensive prowess on Wednesday afternoon, defeating the Hornets of Shenandoah University 12-4 at Cardinal Stadium. With the win, CUA's record improves to 6-4, while SU drops to 4-3.

  • McNulty Provides Game-Winner In Drew Victory

    Sean McNulty scored the golden goal as Drew men’s lacrosse secured a 7-6 win at Catholic on Saturday and gave Drew’s Head Coach Tom Leanos his 200th career win. Jon Bucknam scored midway through the fourth period to force OT before McNulty’s unassisted winner gave Drew its fourth straight win and a 2-0 record in the Landmark Conference.
  • Crusaders Lacrosse Cruises To Non-Conference Win

    Freshman attack Dustin Breakey (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) scored four goals and added two assists and five ground balls to help lead visiting Susquehanna University to a 16-4 non-conference win over PSU-Abington at Huntingdon Field on March 25.

    Sophomore attack David Bennett netted a hat trick including the game-winning goal as the Moravian men's lacrosse team earned its first win of the 2009 season, defeating Gwynedd-Mercy College, 8-5, in non-conference action at Rocco Calvo Field.

    Kyle Boncaro (Geneva, N.Y./Geneva) scored four times – including back-to-back-to-back goals in a span of 3:59 in the second period – and handed out a pair of assists to help Goucher conclude an early-season four-game homestand today with a convincing 19-6 triumph over Trine.
