  • Men's Track Athlete of the Week - Austin Gardener (Moravian)
    May 02, 2016
    (Jr., Langhorne, Pa.) Gardener was part of two school records at the Penn Relays on Friday with the first in the 4x200 meter relay a time of 1:31.31 as the quartet was 30th of 42 in the race. The group then set a second school record in the Sprint Medley Championship of America after a time of 3:36.76 to place 20th. Gardener race the leadoff 200 meter leg in the race. Gardener then took home first place in the 200-meter dash at the Lehigh University Games Saturday with a time of 22.39 seconds. Gardener also grabbed second place in the 100-meter dash crossing the line with a time of 11.25 seconds.
  • Men's Field Athlete of the Week - Parker Munson (Moravian)

    (Gr., East Stroudsburg, Pa.) Munson had a mark of 14.93 meters (48-11.75) in the College Men's Shot Put at the Penn Relays to finish 24th of 38 competitors on Friday. On Saturday at the Lehigh University Games, Munson set the school record in the shot put with a put of 15.93m (52-3.25). Munson finished fourth with a toss of 45.55m (149-5.5) in the discus, the fourth best distance in school history.
  • Women's Track Athlete of the Week - Kiera Lyons (Catholic)

    (So., Harwood, Md.) Catholic's standout sophomore Kiera Lyons helped lead the Cardinals to a win at Gallaudet's Bison Invitational. Lyons took the title in the 3000, posting an impressive time of 10:45.74, nearly 25 seconds faster than her seeded time. She also posted a second-place finish in the 800, finishing only behind teammate Becky Chominski. The victory was one of 12 posted by the Cardinals in just two days of action this past weekend.
  • Women's Field Athlete of the Week - Stephanie Taylor (Catholic)

    (Sr., Eldersburg, Md.) Catholic's senior jumper Stephanie Taylor posted three top-four performances at Gallaudet's Bison Invitational, helping the Cardinals to a team victory at the meet. Taylor won the high jump, clearing 1.52 meters, .03 meters better that her seeded mark. She went on to take third in the triple jump at 9.87 meters, besting her 9.79 seed. She also added a fourth-place finish in the long jump with a mark of 4.55 meters. The team victory was one of 12 Cardinal victories on Saturday and Sunday.
  • Men's Track Athlete of the Week - Kwane Hayle (Susquehanna)

    (Sr., Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) Placed fourth among 86 competitors in the 100 with a time of 10.99 and placed fifth among 106 competitor in the 200 with a time of 22.04. He currently ranks first in the 100 and third in the 200 in the Landmark Conference. He also competed in the long jump and finished with a mark of 5.90 meters.
  • Men's Field Athlete of the Week - Tom Schetroma (Susquehanna)

    (Sr., Elysburg, Pa.) Competed in three events over the weekend. He finished second among 45 competitors in the shot put with a mark of 15.44 meters. He is currently ranked first in the Landmark Conference in the shot put. He placed 14th (of 49 competitors) in the discus and 12th (of 34 competitors) in the hammer throw.
  • Women's Track Athlete of the Week - Ashley West (Susquehanna)
    April 25, 2016
    (Sr., East Hampton, N.Y.) In consecutive weeks, West set a Landmark and Susquehanna record. She clocked a time of 2:10.75 in the 800 meters at the Larry Ellis Invite at Princeton University. She finished second among NCAA Division III runners. She also followed up this race with a 4:36.97 in the 1500.
  • Women's Field Athlete of the Week - Amanda Porter (Elizabethtown)

    (Jr., Audubon, N.J.) Elizabethtown junior thrower got within a foot of the school's hammer record last week at Millersville, and this past Saturday at Widener Porter obliterated it by a good margin. She threw 44.56m (146'2"), over ten feet farther than the school record to move from second to the top spot. Her throw was also second-best in the hammer competition at the meet. Porter was also 14th in the jav at 30.63m and 15th in the shot at 9.58m.
  • Men's Track Athlete of the Week - Zach Trama (Elizabethtown)
    April 18, 2016
    (Sr., West Chester, Pa.) Elizabethtown senior Zach Trama competed against runners from Division I and Division II institutions at this past weekend's Bison Outdoor Classic. Trama, who was .09 off the school's record in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, cruised past the old mark to become the new record holder in the event at 9:15.50, which was good for seventh overall at Bucknell. The record had stood for over 15 years until Trama broke it Saturday evening.
  • Men's Field Athlete of the Week - Jared Minori (Susquehanna)
    April 18, 2016
    (Sr., Tyrone, Pa.) Minori placed third (top Collegiate athlete) at the Bison Outdoor Classic in the javelin. His throw of 65.30 meters is a season's best and ranks third number three in NCAA Division III.
  • Women's Track Athlete of the Week - Kamillah Smith (Goucher)

    (Sr., Northampton, Mass.) Smith broke the school 100-meter dash record twice over the weekend. The first time in prelims (12.44). Her winning time in the 100-meter dash is 1-hundredth of a second off of Landmark Conference record (12.19). She then broke the school record in 200-meter dash (25.92). Smith ran the anchor leg on Goucher's entry in the 4 x 100-meter relay that broke the school record in that event.
  • Women's Field Athlete of the Week - Alexa Feduchak (Elizabethtown)
    April 18, 2016
    (So., Blakely, Pa.) Elizabethtown sophomore Alexa Feduchak won a throwing event for the first time in her career on Saturday at Gettysburg's Mason-Dixon Invitational. Feduchak had the program's fourth-best throw in school history to win the hammer throw at 40.95m (134'4"). She also had E-town's ninth-best shot put throw all-time at 9.58m to take 15th. Feduchak took 12th in the discus at 28.20m.
  • Men's Track Athlete of the Week - Patrick Jones (Catholic)
    April 11, 2016
    Jones led the Cardinals at Bridgewater's 11th Hour Invite. The sophomore was strong in the mid-distance, placing second in the 800, nearly going two-flat at 2:00.75. He also added a seventh-place finish in the 1500, crossing the line at 4:04.88.
  • Men's Field Athlete of the Week - Parker Munson (Moravian)

    (Gr., East Stroudsburg, Pa.) Munson had a strong afternoon at the Coach P Open hosted by Moravian as he set the school record and placed fourth in the shot put with an ECAC qualifying toss of 15.56 meters (51-0.75). He broke the previous school record by 10.75 inches. Munson was also third in the discus with a personal best, school record and ECAC qualifying toss of 46.33 meters (152-0), and he placed tenth in the hammer throw at 42.85 meters (140-7). He passed his previous school record in the discus by 11 inches.
  • Women's Track Athlete of the Week - Corinne Glass (Moravian)
    April 11, 2016
    (Sr., West Chester, Pa.) Glass led the Greyhounds at the Coach P Open hosted by Moravian with a pair of individual victories as she won the 200-meter dash in an ECAC qualifying time of 24.99 seconds, which is tied for fifth on the Track & Field Results Reporting System as the top 22 women in each event heading to the NCAA Championships in late May, and the 400-meter dash in the ECAC qualifying time of 57.40 seconds to move into a tie for 12th on the TFRRS list.
  • Women's Field Athlete of the Week - Andrea Galeano (Catholic)

    Galeano won the shot put at Bridgewater's 11th hour invite on Sunday. Her throw of 10.89 meters brought her to the top of the podium. She also added a fourth-place finis in the hammer, going 38.53 meters.
  • Men's Track Athlete of the Week - Miles Taylor (Goucher)

    (Fr., Bowie, Md.) Competing at the Bobcat Invitational, Taylor broke a school record that had stood since 2002 with his time in the 110-meter high hurdles. His time of 16.59 was good enough for second place. The freshman also helped the 4x100 relay team to a a fourth place finish (47.20) and the 4x400 relay team to a sixth place finish with a time of 3:43.40. Taylor also placed seventh in the 400m hurdles, posting a time of 1:04.24.
  • Men's Field Athlete of the Week - Kyle Allison (Moravian)

    (So., Mountain Lakes, N.J.) Sophomore Kyle Allison was the runner-up in the javelin with an ECAC qualifying toss of 56.00 meters (183-9) at the Muhlenberg College Invitational over the weekend.
  • Women's Track Athlete of the Week - Kiera Lyons (Catholic)

    (So., Harwood, Md.) Sophomore Kiera Lyons led the way for Catholic at the Frostburg Invite, winning the 1500 meter run with a time of 5:05.38. The first-year Cardinal also added a silver medal in the 800 meters, finishing with a strong time of 2:28.48.
  • Women's Field Athlete of the Week - Jackie Finnegan (Moravian)
    April 04, 2016
    Finnegan won the hammer throw Friday evening in the Muhlenberg College Invitational with the event hosted at Moravian with an ECAC qualifying and school record toss of 48.56 meters (159-4).
  • Men's Track Athlete of the Week - Connor Cole (USMMA)
    March 28, 2016
    (Fr., Alpharetta, Ga.) Cole, a rookie, finished in sixth place in the men's 10K at the 21st Annual Monmouth Season Opener. He crossed the finish line in 33:19.79, which was a better time than three Division I runners and two Division II runners.
  • Men's Field Athlete of the Week - Parker Munson (Moravian)

    (Gr., East Stroudsburg, Pa.) Munson had an ECAC mark of 44.33 meters (145-5) in the discus to place second in the event as Moravian opened its 2016 outdoor season at the Lafayette College 7-Way Meet, and he was fourth in the shot put with an ECAC qualifying distance of 14.87 meters (48-9.5).
  • Women's Track Athlete of the Week - Ashley West (Susquehanna)
    March 28, 2016
    (Sr., East Hampton, N.Y.) Competing against Division I, II and III competition, West placed first of 39 in the 1500 (4:42.15), winning by six seconds. She also placed second of 24 in the 400 with a personal best of 59.14.
  • Women's Field Athlete of the Week - Gabby Alguire (Susquehanna)
    March 28, 2016
    (Jr., Tunkhannock, Pa.) Alguire finished first among 33 competitors including NCAA Division I, II and III athletes. Her mark of 155' 7" (one inch shy of her personal best) bettered her throw from last week and has her ranked first in NCAA Division III.
  • Men's Track Athlete of the Week - Mike Twist (Elizabethtown)

    (Jr., Voorhees, N.J) Elizabethtown junior Mike Twist kept the momentum he built during the indoor season going into the start of his outdoor season this past Saturday. Twist won the mile and 800m and anchored the 4x400m to a second-place finish.
  • Men's Field Athlete of the Week - Matt Pysher (Elizabethtown)

    (So., Bangor, Pa.) Elizabethtown sophomore thrower Matt Pysher was a top-ten finisher in each of his throwing events this past Saturday at E-town's home meet to open the outdoor season. Pysher was the top thrower in the hammer at 40.19m, a personal record. He would also go on to a seventh-place finish in javelin and ninth in the shot put.
  • Women's Track Athlete of the Week - Kelsey Detweiler (Elizabethtown)
    March 21, 2016
    (Jr., Elizabethtown, Pa.) Elizabethtown junior sprinter Kelsey Detweiler highlighted the Jays' impressive start to the outdoor season this past Saturday. Detweiler was a two-time individual event winner and also a member of the winning 4x400m relay team. She qualified second in the 100m prelims and finished first in the final before later winning the 200m dash. She also ran a leg on the 4x100m relay that took third.
  • Women's Field Athlete of the Week - Stephanie Taylor (Catholic)
    March 21, 2016
    (Sr., Stephanie Taylor) CUA's senior jumper go the Cardinals off to a strong start this Spring, winning the high jump at Elizabethtown's Early Bird Invite. Taylor cleared 1.47 to win the event. She also went on to place third in the triple jump. The Eldersburg, Md., native went for distance of 9.55 meters.
  • Men's Track Athlete of the Week - Kwane Hayle (Susquehanna)
    February 22, 2016
    (Sr., Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) Won the 60m dash at the Susquehanna Open. His time of 6.99 in the finals was .13 ahead of second. Hayle also anchored the winning 4x200 relay team as they ran 1:32.59. Hayle is currently tied for 13th in NCAA Division III in the 60 and is ranked first in the Landmark Conference. Hayle is also ranked third in the 200 in the Landmark Conference. The 4x200 team is ranked first in the Landmark Conference going into the championship meet.
  • Men's Field Athlete of the Week - Gavin Bailey (Moravian)
    February 22, 2016
    (Sr., Sparta, N.J.) Bailey took home the ten points by winning the long jump at the Kutztown University Last Chance Invitational. Bailey jumped 7.00 meters (22-11.75), which is tied for 9th on the Track & Field Results Reporting System for NCAA Division III, and the top 15 males in each event will compete at the NCAA Division III National Championships in March. Bailey also took home a fifth place finish in the 55 meter dash running a 6.79 in the preliminary race then a 6.70 in the finals. With Bailey's jump he qualifies to jump at the ECAC DIII meet in March.
