Landmark Announces Athletes of the Week

Landmark Announces Athletes of the Week

The Landmark Conference has released the Athletes of the Week. The conference will recognize a student-athlete for each sport based on their contributions to their team throughout the season.

The 2014-15 season opened in a flurry of 82 events over the course of the first three days. The eight field hockey teams opened up at 9-4 with five teams still undefeated including No. 15 Catholic University. Scranton led the way in men's soccer earning two of the Landmark's seven wins. Half of the women's soccer teams are still undefeated. Catholic opened with two wins at Farmingdale's Rams Classic. All eight volleyball teams won at least two matches and the league as a whole earned a 26-4 record.

She tallied the game-winner against Western Connecticut as the team posted a 3-0 shutout. On Saturday, the Cardinals were trailing 1-0 early against Farmingdale, but Greaves responded with the game-tying goal less than a minute later. Catholic went on to win 2-1 and Greaves finished with two goals on three shots in the two games.
